What is Arthroscopy? Arthroscopy is a surgical procedure that is used to diagnose and treat joint-related problems. It is a minor surgery that is performed on an outpatient basis. This means arthroscopy allows the doctor to see inside your joint without making any large cut or incision. It can be done on the knees, shoulder, elbow, ankle, hip, or wrist joints, How is Arthroscopy Performed? This procedure is performed with the help of a tool known as an arthroscope. It is a pencil size instrument with a lens and lighting system and it can send a magnified image of the joint on a video monitor. The arthroscope is inserted into the joint through a small cut. With the help of this, we can see the joint and the amount of damage in the joint.
